• Universities were not the target by accident. They were chosen strategically—as institutions of prestige, capital, and perceived imperial complicity. Protest leaders understood the symbolic and practical value of disrupting elite academic spaces.

• Media and legal infrastructure enabled scale. Groups like Palestine Legal, the National Lawyers Guild, and BreakThrough News provided legal protection and narrative framing that allowed protests to persist and expand.

• The ideology driving this movement is not primarily about Israel. It is part of a larger anti-Western, anti-capitalist project that uses the Palestinian cause as a unifying symbol and mobilizing tool.
